Join us on November 10th, 2020 at 18:30 CST for our next Trauma Journal Club, where we will be discussing “A Quality-Improvement Approach to Effective Trauma Team Activation” (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7006360/) and are very excited to have one of the authors, Dr. Sandy Widder join us!

Dr. Widder is a Trauma Surgeon, Intensivist, the facility site chief for trauma at the Walter C. MacKenzie Health Sciences Center and the Provincial Medical Co-chair for Trauma Services in Alberta; who also holds Masters degrees in Health Administration and in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.

In keeping with the Canadian content, Dr. Murdoch Leeies will be presenting “The Effect of a Multidisciplinary Trauma Team Leader Paradigm at a Tertiary Trauma Center: 10-Year Experience” (https://doi.org/10.1155/2020/8412179).

Dr. Leeies is an Emergency Medicine physician, Intensivist and the research director of the University of Manitoba FRCPC Emergency Medicine residency program. He also holds a Masters of Sciences in clinical epidemiology.

All medical professions are invited to join!
